Two Podcasts & an Art Fair
Sounds like a movie title from the nineties.
Dear Reader,
I have TWO new podcast episodes out—one's mine, one's a guest appearance, AND an invitation to get an in-person Human Design for Creatives reading from me in Minneapolis this upcoming Saturday at an incredible Black Friday price: Just $25.
What's Human Design? Keep reading.
First the podcasts:
1) Courageous Wordsmith Episode 113: Artist and Coach Beth Cyr and I started out talking about a letter she wrote at a vulnerable time, which she saved to share with her audience later. But we ended up talking about our mutual love for Human Design.
Beth Cyr and I talk writing to heal, artistic expression, and Human Design
2) My longtime friend and frequent podcast guest Keri Mangis invited me onto the latest season of her podcast, Awaken Your Power; mine is the second episode. Topic: Awaken Your Gifts.
I couldn't have planned the timing better. I recorded these episodes at different times, but they play well together.
In this episode, I'm sharing what I consider MY truest gifts.
Related, know what's a good tool for awakening gifts?
Human Design.
3) THIS SATURDAY, I'm doing Human Design for Creatives Readings for just $25 at the 2025 Casket Arts Fall Open Studios at the corner of 17th and Madison Ave. in Northeast Minneapolis.
I'll be at Amy Sundby's Studio, 145 / Casket Cinema all day Saturday from 11–8. Bring your birth time, date, and city.
15 minutes, enough information without overwhelm.
This price won't last, though I am offering a limited number of Black Friday Zoom readings at $64 that's also a pretty good deal. (I'll tell you more about the virtual version after next Saturday.)
What is Human Design anyway?
As Beth describes in the podcast, it's the integration of astrology and other ancient wisdom systems, so esoteric that I'd be wary of sharing it with you, except... it's the secret behind my business. Someone like me (3/5 Emotional Manifestor) doesn't have energy for all that I've done. Unless I work with my natural energy flow.
Honestly, I'm a bit of a conundrum. I've always understood that I'm qualitatively different from most people around me.
Human Design gives me language for how I'm unique. I can stop trying to do things that I already knew weren't for me, and know why. It helps me make decisions that let me be a better steward of my creative gifts rather than shaming myself for who I'm not.
SUCH AS... I'm gifted with BIG FEELINGS as my major life theme, so I've always felt very clearly how things were AND it mortified me that someone might notice me with all these feelings.
That's a conundrum.
As a kid, I was told not to talk so much, so candidly, with such a clear voice. Alternatively, I was prompted to speak on command and had absolutely nothing to say. A conundrum.
And all of that? I see it in Human Design chart. I can point out where it says I'm a natural teacher, editor, counselor, and writer.
But I get to explore what it all means in the context of my life. Which is why I've quietly fallen in love with Human Design as a thematic, observational tool for writers, and why I quietly, quickly completed four levels of Quantum Human Design certification.
I've practiced it for myself. Now I'm ready to talk about all the above. Let's see what you make of it.
I'm Amy Hallberg, author of Tiny Altars: A Midlife Revival and the IPPY Award Winning German Awakening: Tales from an American Life. I'm also a podcaster, editor, and writing mentor. Contrary to the address below, I'm a lifelong Minnesotan in the Twin Cities.
